This past December, community members came together for the Christmas in Newaygo County fundraiser, supporting three valuable local programs — including the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. Yesterday, NCRESA was honored to receive a $2,000 donation to support this incredible program! Thanks to this generosity, 63 children in Newaygo County will receive a high-quality book each month for an entire year. We are so grateful for this investment in our youngest learners and for the ongoing support of literacy and early childhood development in our community. Thank you to everyone who made this possible!

BPA Chapter members got involved with this year's BPA State Service Project Alex's Lemonade Stand, which is to bring awareness and support families to help cure pediatric cancer. Culinary students and their instructors graciously offered to help and baked 458 cookies that the BPA members sold, which raised $229.00 for Alex's Lemonade Stand. Both AM and PM chapter members helped to bag, tag and then deliver the cookies to help celebrate Valentine's Day.

Our Play and Learn group on January 10th was a great time for young children and families! Kids had the chance to play while developing important competencies , including social-emotional, gross motor, and fine motor skills. We also enjoyed a fun storytime, featuring The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats. Sharon Maile did an amazing job reading the story and engaging the children! Children had fun scooping and throwing indoor snowballs (cotton balls). Join us for the next Play and Learn group on Friday, January 24th at 10 a.m. at NCRESA in Fremont. See you there!
